Our designers can assist you in creating a new updated look while catering to your needs and being sensitive to your budget. You will be inspired by our beautiful showroom that features over seven quality product lines, numerous creative design spaces and state of the art Wolf and Sub Zero appliances. Our diverse selection of cabinets are offered in a wide variety of price points and the products that we showcase provide short lead times and consistent accuracy.
Biographies
Billy Reeves, Jr.
President
Billy is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management in 1971. He came into the cabinet business in 1988 where he opened up Canac Kitchens of Georgia, Inc., the first and only Canac dealership in Georgia. In 10 short years, he and Robbie Baron grew their company to be the largest Canac dealership in the world. After diversifying their cabinet line offerings they choose to change the name to Founders Kitchen and Bath, Inc. namely so since it is located on Founders Parkway in Alpharetta. Billy is also the Financial Manager of a high end cabinet company, called Handcrafted Cabinetry, which is located in the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) in Buckhead. When Billy isn’t at work, you can find him on the golf course at the Georgia Tech Club where he is a Founding Member. He also serves as an Alumni Counselor for Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity; helps raise money for Kate’s Club and is currently on the golf committee for the Kim King Foundation. Billy is well known for his generosity and willingness to help others.
Robbie Baron
Co-Owner / Vice President
Robbie graduated from the University of Georgia in 1971 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business. Although Robbie was very involved in athletics in school, his career path after college steered him towards business. After working in Cabinet Sales for 10 years at APEX, Robbie joined forces with Billy Reeves in 1988 and opened up Canac Kitchens of Georgia, Inc. Robbie was instrumental in building their business and eventually helped grow it into a $33 million company. Robbie’s success has been achieved by his boundless energy, relentless drive and unsurpassed work ethic. He has three philosophies in his business “customer service, customer service and customer service”. Those philosophies combined with his 30 years experience in the kitchen cabinet business have provided him with an excellent reputation among customers and peers in our industry. Robbie is also the Operations Manager of a high end cabinet company, called Handcrafted Cabinetry, which is located in the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC) in Buckhead. When Robbie isn’t hard at work, he is busy running, playing golf and enjoying spending time with his wife, children and grandkids.
Lenny Mintz
Vice President / Multi-Family Division
Lenny hails from three generations in the Furniture and Cabinet Manufacturing industry. Lenny’s was a welcome addition to Founders Kitchen and Bath when he came on board in 1991 with his 18 years of cabinet knowledge. After serving three years in Residential Sales, Lenny found his true calling when he sold his first Multi-Family job for Post Properties in 1994. This 200 unit project was the first of many and launched him into a new position and to head a new division in our company. As the Vice President of our Multi-Family division; he has grown his team over the years and has surpassed his own sales records each year. His top year was in 2006, where he had 30 employees and installed over 6,700 units with $14 million dollars in sales. He has earned his excellent reputation by providing exceptional products, pricing and services for over 15 years to a majority of developers in the Southeast. With over 375 projects under his reign, he has built a strong and solid foundation that his customers respect and appreciate.
Jason Whitman
Multi-Family Sales / Design
Jason started working at Founders Kitchens back in 1996 and literally learned the “ins and outs” of our business from the ground up. He started by working in our warehouse and making jobsite deliveries; however, his drive and desire to learn, provided him with a swift transition into the office. After serving as the Customer Service Manager and a Design Administrator, he went into Sales in 2003. That year he received the “Rookie Salesperson of the Year” award and joined the multi-family division. In 2004, he was named the overall “Salesperson of the Year” and in 2006 he was awarded “Employee of the Year”. Jason’s confidence and ability to create professional relationships has made him the top salesperson in our company.
Julie Affeldt
Sales / Design
Julie joined the Founders team back in 1996 right after graduating from Virginia Tech. Her Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design, with an emphasis in Kitchen and Bath Design, provided her with a great foundation. She came on board as a Design Administrator and for years served as an invaluable support to many of our top salespeople. She made a flawless transition into sales in the year 2001 and has worked with most of our largest builder accounts over the years. Julie is a versatile designer that can accommodate any size or type of project. She is well respected by her customers and her peers, as she possesses the perfect combination of personality, professionalism, and talent.
Chris Shafer
Sales / Design
Chris is a graduate of The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1995. He joined the Founders team back in 1997 where he began his career as a vital part of our Operations Department. He quickly proved that he had what it took to join our Sales and Design team and became a valuable asset to several of our salespeople. In 2001, he transitioned from the office into the field and has been one of our top salespeople every since. Chris has broken several sales records on numerous occasions throughout the years. His professional and no-nonsense approach to business are traits that have fostered loyal and long lasting customer relationships.
Sarah Price
Sales / Design
Sarah graduated, in 1995, from Georgia Southern University with a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences. She came on board to Founders in 1998 and brought the experience that made her a great fit into the Operations Department. She served as the Installation Manager for three years and in 2003 moved her talents out into the field. Sarah’s versatile design skills allow her to have a wide range of customers. She has designed kitchens from multi-family units to high end remodels. Sarah provides exceptional personal attention to all of her clients which has resulted in several “accolades” from our customers.
Lindsay Hollis
Sales / Design
Lindsay originally came to us as an intern during her senior year at the University of Georgia and after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2002, she returned to us as a fulltime Design Administrator. Her education in Furnishings and Interiors provided her with a complete understanding of design. Her knowledge and accuracy quickly excelled her into a Sales and Design position a year later. She has been a wonderful asset to Founders and has been successful in all the projects she has acquired. She is a dedicated and hard working designer who leaves no detail undone. She has accomplished so much already and has a bright future in design ahead of her.
Phil Dunbar
Sales / Design
Phil is the newest member of our team, coming on board last summer in 2008. Although he is the most recent addition to Founders Kitchen and Bath, Phil is not new to the cabinet industry. He has had over eight years of experience in Cabinet Sales and Design and is familiar with various other products and people in our profession.
